Thesis and Graduation
The final examination consists of the preparation of a thesis and discussion in public session before a Graduation Committee.
The experimental thesis must be written in English and must be consistent with the course of study of the degree program. It will be written under the supervision of a Faculty member of the Postgraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence for Biomedicine and Healthcare.
The co-examiner is any professor/professor or researcher/researcher belonging to one of the disciplinary scientific fields of the educational activities covered by the postgraduate degree programme, and has the task of periodically checking the research activity relating to the candidate's final examination.
The final examination corresponds to 12 credits. The final examination requires attendance of a pre-degree internship (6 credits), which will be registered with a pass mark.
This internship may be carried out in public or private health facilities such as clinical departments or hospital research laboratories, university research laboratories or those of other public or private facilities, or companies. The thesis may be carried out at home or abroad.

The procedures for the recognition of Italian titles and qualifications abroad and the required documentation to obtain such recognition depend on the specific rules and legislation of the country where such recognition is being sought.
No supranational or automatic recognition between different countries exists, therefore. Even in the case of bilateral or multilateral agreements referring to recognition, it will always be necessary to submit a recognition request or undergo an evaluation procedure in the foreign system.
